Our village is called Uffculme
It may looks tiny and sleepy but it will surprise you! There is a lot going on if you know where to look.
In the winter of 2026 Hannah and Mo joined the group of volunteers that re-vived the community village cafe on the square and we now do several shifts a month.
Morgane also hosts a monthly "french Conversation Café" at the square corner in the village for people wanting to practice french. It's free and very friendly.
In terms of food and drinks in addition to the village cafe which is open Friday/Sat mornings: we have 2 other cafes, Bridwell, Coldharbour , an american diner and a pub as well as fish and chip takeaway store. In all honesty I would not recommend the local pub for food but there is a lovely one called Culm Valley Inn at the end of a really nice 1h30/2h walk through the fields.
