A departure handover for retreat organisers
Team Selgars · · 1 min read
Walk through the spaces you used
Check bedrooms, meeting rooms and storage areas for belongings and materials. Follow the agreed cleaning and waste arrangements, return borrowed equipment and report any damage or problems directly. Give the host a named contact for anything discovered later. A short handover is easier than leaving questions to be reconstructed from messages after everyone has gone.
Close the organising record
Confirm supplier collections, outstanding payments and where participant materials will be stored. Share follow-up information without exposing personal details or private workshop notes. Review what would make departure smoother next time, such as an earlier packing window or a separate luggage area. Ending well is part of venue hire: it helps both the group leaving and the people preparing the space for whatever happens next.
Plan your next step
For the wider context, read our planning guide. If you are working through the next practical detail, coordinating train arrivals for a Devon retreat follows naturally from this.
You can also explore directions to Selgars. Bring the details of your group or stay to the conversation so we can discuss what fits, rather than assuming every arrangement is included.
