A retreat feedback form people will finish

Team Selgars · · 1 min read

Ask about the decisions you can change

Keep questions linked to future choices: pace, usefulness of sessions, clarity of information, food arrangements and opportunities to rest. Ask what to retain and what to change. Separate feedback about the organiser’s programme from the venue so comments reach the right person. Leave room for a concrete example; a score alone rarely explains what happened.

Close the feedback loop

Collect responses after people have had a little time to reflect, but while details remain clear. Explain whether responses are anonymous and avoid collecting unnecessary personal information. Summarise themes for the organising team and choose a small number of changes. If a participant raises an urgent problem, respond through the appropriate direct channel rather than waiting for the survey cycle. Feedback should produce an adjustment, not merely a reassuring average.

Plan your next step

For the wider context, read our planning guide. If you are working through the next practical detail, allocating retreat bedrooms with care follows naturally from this.

You can also explore retreat hosting at Selgars. Bring the details of your group or stay to the conversation so we can discuss what fits, rather than assuming every arrangement is included.
