Coliving
What coliving costs in the UK, and what the price includes

The number on the website is not comparable to rent
Most coliving prices bundle things that rent does not: heating, electricity, water, broadband, council tax, and often a good share of the food. Comparing a coliving monthly rate with a rental monthly rate is comparing two different baskets.
The honest comparison is: rent, plus bills, plus food, plus whatever you spend on not being lonely. That last one is real and most people underestimate it.
What drives the price
Room size and whether it is ensuite. Length of stay — almost everywhere discounts longer stays, because turnover is the expensive part. Whether you are one person or a couple. Season and demand.
The questions that reveal the real cost
Is food included, and how many meals? Is there a deposit and what returns it? What happens if you leave early? Are there extra charges for guests, laundry, or parking? Is there a joining fee?
Our own rooms and rates are published in full rather than quoted on enquiry, which we think is the minimum standard.
