Welcome to My Birthday!
What?
Im turning 40. I love birthdays. So it had to be a big deal.
As you may have guessed I have decided to give it a theme. For some reason the idea of the roaring lion came to mind a few days ago.
I dont really believe in star signs. Im a leo, but I never felt like it fitted my personality: "center stage, flamboyant, loud, dramatic, bold..." but recently I realised there are other traits that we don't always mention such as warm-hearted, caring, creative and passionate. And I started to think...maybe I am a Leo after all?
So this week is the celebration of that, finding my very own version of the lion within me and I hope you'll join me on the journey!
Beyond the "bla bla", just think about it as a vacation. A week of chilling with friends, old and new in a beautiful setting, with yummy food and fun activities. Oh and yeah, Birthday CakeS.
Where & When?
Selgars Mill - Monday 27th (evening) - Monday 3rd August (morning).
Who?
You! You lucky one. And a bunch of other cool people you probably have met before or heard of before or seen in picture before. Throughout the week it will fluctuate between 15 and 30. "mini-mes" and furry kids welcome but not included in the count.
How?

I did not make it to 40 on my own. It took a village. So let's celebrate in the same way.
This is no way mandatory but if there is anything your heart desires to share, now is the time to awaken your inner leo and host it! A yoga class, a cooking sess, a movie night, a talk, a workshop, a singing class, a human pyramid... LET S DO IT! (You know I love a form!)
Please note that we can only do so much and I dont want to pack the week with activities as I think it is important to have time to do nothing together and chill. So I will cap the forms to 10/12. Don't miss your chance! ​

FAQs
How long can I stay?

I wish the answer could be forever but for now we have to ask you to arrive, at the earliest on Monday evening and stay until Monday 3rd morning at the latest. ​

Will I miss the big day?
​
​
While it is not yet a bank holiday, we all know my birthday is on the 30th, the Thursday. There will be cake and celebration then but there will also be cake and celebration on the 1st of August, the Saturday. If you somehow find yourself only coming Friday, you will still have a good time I promise.

Where will I sleep?
Beds in rooms and cabins have been assigned following the first come first served policy when you first registered. I have tried my best to take into consideration couples, friendships, snoring decibels and "mini-mes". I will share an updated list of accommodations soon.
How to get there? ​​
Please refer to our how to get here page on our main website. You are also encouraged to carpool or jump on the same trains and share cabs using the Whatsapp group.
And what about food? ​
I am still finalizing things around food but for sure there will be some.
We will share the cost based on who is eating when.
What should I wear? ​
Whatever you are most comfortable in, whatever you feel fabulous in and whatever the hell you want really. Dress all the way up or all the way down, you do you.
How much does it all cost? ​​
- Your flight/train/taxi expenses.
- Taking days off work if you wish to do so
- Shared food costs for most of the meals.

Can I work while there?
Yes of course, we have good wifi and lots of desks.
What about presents?
Thanks but no thanks. The fact that you are spending your time and money to be with me that week is a huge gift. Hosting an activity is another one.
If you absolutely have to get me something, I'm trying to convince Anton to let me have a few chickens. Just putting this here.
