Retreats
What belongs in a retreat information pack?

Answer the questions people need before travelling
Keep the pack short enough to use on a phone. Include the address, arrival window, transport arrangements, what to bring, room arrangements, meal plan and a contact for delays. Describe which activities are optional and what clothing or equipment they need. Separate confirmed details from arrangements still being discussed so participants do not book travel around a draft.
Keep one version current
Use a dated document and one place for updates. Ask participants privately about practical requirements, with a clear explanation of who will receive that information. Send a final reminder with only the details that changed. For a Selgars gathering, use our published directions as the starting point and confirm group-specific arrangements with us. An information pack should reduce uncertainty, not add another long reading assignment.
Plan your next step
For the wider context, read our planning guide. If you are working through the next practical detail, collecting dietary requirements for a retreat follows naturally from this.
You can also explore retreat hosting at Selgars. Bring the details of your group or stay to the conversation so we can discuss what fits, rather than assuming every arrangement is included.
