For the past 3 seasons we have been eating dinners together every night. It has been a wonderful community moment. We organize a rota (with those who want), trying our best to cater to allergies - That way, we only have to cook once or twice a week for dinner. We can decide to cook ourselves or pair up with someone. We keep the dinner rota Vegetarian.
🌱We strongly encourage a vegetarian ethos at Selgars Mill. Please note that the BBQ is vegetarian.
If you wish to eat meat, we ask that you to be respectful of your vegetarian housemates (cleaning the pans thoroughly, storing properly...) . We also strongly encourage you to source your meat locally and ethically.
To avoid several car trips to the stores we have organized to get food delivered.
You can even get a delivery before you arrive, so you are all set! If not, no worries. We have some basics at home that we are happy to share with you on your first day.
You can order online from Sainsbury’s   (they also offer eco-delivery time slots) or Tesco.
You’ll need to create an account and enter our address. Make sure to clearly state it is for Selgars MILL as we have neighbors who are also ‘Selgars’.

Once you have added your items to the basket, you can check out and pick a time slot. Please pick a time you know you will be home (unless it is your first delivery in advance, in which case do let us know a delivery is coming).
Please remember that we are sharing the fridges in the kitchen, so be mindful of how much fresh produce you order.

Co-op in Willand - 1 mile away. About 20 min walk by the road, longer with a detour that avoids the main road. Out of the drive turn left and it's on the right hand side of the roundabout.
Cullompton - 2 miles away. Small town. Supermarket. Boots pharmacy.

The village Uffculme Community Fridge - open 9.30-11am every weekday - you can get free food there ;-)
Turning right on the main road, towards the village.
A few people in the area have honesty boxes with fresh eggs, homemade honey, and juices.
